What are polyurethane elastomers?
The so-called polyurethane, referred to as PU, is a kind of polymer material that contains many repeating carbamate groups (-NHCOO-) in the molecular chain. Polyurethane elastomer is a relatively special category of elastomers. Polyurethane elastomer has excellent wear resistance and toughness, and is known as "wear-resistant rubber".
Polyurethane elastomers can be roughly divided into the following three categories according to the molding process of the product:
1. Cast polyurethane elastomer (CPU).
2. Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU).
3. Millable Polyurethane Elastomer (MPU).
Among these three types, Casting polyurethane elastomer (casting PU, CPU) is a type of polyurethane elastomer produced by casting process, casting and reaction molding of liquid resin, and some people call it "casting glue" for short. This type of liquid raw material system is also called "liquid rubber". Casting polyurethane elastomer has the following characteristics:
①Pouring or injecting liquid raw materials into product molds to react and solidify and form, which can directly make very thick and bulky polyurethane rubber products and products with complex shapes;
② The finished product has good overall performance;
③The formula composition and dosage of raw materials can be adjusted to obtain products with different hardness, and the variable range of performance is large;
④ For simple manual pouring, the equipment investment is small and the processing is convenient;
⑤ It can manufacture small batches or single-piece product prototypes with good flexibility.

What are the applications of polyurethane elastomers?
1. Mechanical parts, such as various casters, rollers, sealing rings, pistons, shock absorbers, couplings, rubber-coated bearings, belts, etc.
2. rubber covered roller, such as printing rollers, laminating rollers, squeezing rollers, coating rollers, conveying rollers, food grade rollers, etc.
3. coal preparation, mining, metallurgy and other industries, such as sieve plates, hydraulic support seals, elastomer linings, conveyor belts, belt cleaners, cyclones, dust seals, monorail suspension wheels, etc.
4. Rollers and tires, such as coaster wheels, skateboard wheels, tugboats, diamond wire cutting wheels, micro-foaming wheels, silent wheels, indoor fork wheel load-bearing wheels, steering wheels, Mecanum wheels, solid wheels for mines, structural wheels, etc.
5. Oil and gas industry, such as fracturing vehicle valves, pipeline flaw detection seals, bending limiters, center clamps, shock absorbing sheaths, etc.
