Advantages: better stability, chemical resistance, resilience and mechanical properties, smaller compression deformation, good heat insulation, sound insulation, shock resistance and anti-virus performance.
Disadvantages: Its flame retardant performance is poor. The burning speed is fast and excessive droplets will be produced during the process, which will easily lead to the accelerated spread of fire.

Application:
1. Rigid polyurethane is light in weight, excellent in sound insulation and heat insulation performance, chemical resistance, good electrical performance, easy to process, and low water absorption. It is mainly used in construction, automobile, aviation industry, and structural materials for thermal insulation.
2. The performance of polyurethane elastomer is between plastic and rubber. Its characteristics are: oil resistance, wear resistance, low temperature resistance, aging resistance, high hardness and elasticity. Such products are mainly used in the shoe industry and the medical industry. Polyurethane can also be used to make adhesives, coatings, synthetic leather, etc.
Polyurethane appeared in the 1930s. After nearly 100 years of technological development, this material has been widely used in the fields of home furnishing, construction, daily necessities, transportation, and home appliances.
